HOW OUR BOOKING PROCESS WORKS
- You choose the best yacht fitting your criteria and budget.
- Once selected, It is always advisable to place a courtesy hold in your name, this allows you to arrange your travel plans, and meanwhile, your dates remain secured.
- However, these holds can be challenged by another party, but you will be advised and have a 48hrs priority to place a deposit.
- We will send you the charter yacht standard contract for you to review, sign and send back for counter signature.
- A few days later, you receive it back, counter signed with the captains or the stakeholder’s signature; this stays with you in your files.
- Meanwhile an initial deposit is required, if further away then six months, a 30% of the charter rate, if less then the six months, then a 50-100% deposit is due. The deposit will need to be transferred by bank wire, venmo, paypal, or check.
- With that done, your dates are secured and the yacht database marks the yacht as booked, you will receive your own unique booking number from the charter yacht.
- The final payment is generally due 60 days before the charter due date.
- You will receive a preference list for the provisioning preferences and can start to communicate with the crew about all the details to the charter.
- If you charter is a bareboat or captain only yacht, we will help you with the provisioning orders.
- You will remain updated with the ongoing progress and get a charter summary log with all payments received.
- Please consider buying a travel protection plan- we prefer to work with Alliance.
- Additional extras such as Stand Up Paddleboards, fishing licenses, kayaks, etc can be added later and are generally rented/purchased directly via Caribesail.
- The captain and crew usually receives a gratuity at the end of the charter; this is to take into consideration of your overall calculations! A gratuity is at your discretion with a suggested 10-18% of the contracted charter rate.
